Parenting and Engagement

Wanting to be the best parent that I possibly can be, I know that I need to play a vital role in my child’s development. Doing Good, Feeling Raw

I had an interesting experience today.  It left me feeling raw. As I was looking for something on the internet, I got sidetracked with news updates on Haiti.  I watched this video followed by this video.  Tears were streaming down my face as the human and emotional toll of the disaster struck me – deeply – unlike before.    Later in the day (video-watching and nose-blowing behind me), I noticed this posting  on Katya Andresen’s Non-Profit Marketing blog.  Of course I was curious...

Emulating the "mind of Christ"

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ" Philippians 2:5 How do we emulate the "mind of Christ"?  In a paper I recently read (which I mentioned in a recent post) entitled Wesley's Prescription for Making Disciples of Jesus Christ: Insights for the 21st Century Church, the author Randy Maddox shares this insight about how Wesley thought about having a "mind of Christ": that it's "not unilaterally infused by God at one's conversion.
