I was very much inspired by the following (video) testimony from Matt Chandler. Matt is the lead pastor of a multi-site church in Dallas called The Village. On Thanksgiving, Matt had a sudden seizure and tests showed a tumor in his brain. By all accounts, the operation after Thanksgiving was successful, although it will be weeks before the pathology report comes back.

$450,000 has been donated in one week! Sounds like it could be a record amount, certainly for many worthy ministries, who would be rejoicing. Sadly, this money was donated to honor the lives of four slain police officers in Tacoma, Washington, who just 2 weeks ago lost their lives after being shot deliberately by one lone gunman, as they sat working together in a local coffee shop.

We've reached the time where we untangle Christmas lights, prop up twisted decorations, and remember the traditions that make it look a lot like Christmas. As I have dug deeper into virtual relationships, I have learned that there is a growing sector of people who are seeking out these virtual relationships in place of real life. There are people who have relationships with life-sized dolls of their favorite anime character, taking it on picnics, to movies, and on romantic dates. These people share a "relationship" with a faux animated character.

It was recently reported on the Internet that a Japanese man married a computer character. The virtual bride's name is Nene Anegasaki. The groom, known online as Sal9000, is the first to officially pledge love to a video game character.
